grouplogoSmall groups are part of the social fabric of the larger church community and contribute to the vitality and greater good of the whole church. Participants in small groups benefit from the wisdom and discernment of other group members in a safe and encouraging setting. Within small groups people find friendship, are mentored in the faith, and provide care for one another.
As you browse through the small groups listed below, please prayerfully consider joining one. If you have an idea for a new group or would like to start one, please see or email the Director of Small Groups and Adult Education,  Brian (BJ) Mickle at bmickle@glassboromethodist.org

Small Group descriptions and facilitators are highlighted below.

Caregiver Support Group
Our purpose is to provide emotional and spiritual support and a network of resources for those caring for a parent or family member. Salt Shakers
Salt Shakers is a great way to expand your group of friends at Glassboro UMC. while enjoying fun, food and fellowship. In Salt Shakers, people (usually a group of around 8) will get together for a meal several (3-5) times during the year. Different people host each meal and others help provide the food or you can choose to meet at a restaurant. Singles, couples, all ages can join in on the fun! After about 3-5 times meeting… We will “shake it up” and new groups will be assigned. It’s a lot of fun and it is hoped that many more connections and relationships with be formed because of it. Leader: Brian Mickle

Refresh
What do you find most refreshing? A cold drink on a hot day? An afternoon nap? Listening to praise and worship music? Hanging out with friends?- This group meets bi-weekly and rotates homes or various restaurants. We will be starting a new study in the fall titled “Fearless” by Max Lucado. The group also focuses on community volunteer work and does day trips to Christian concerts.
